Welcome to our place - KARIBU KWETU

KARIBU KWETU:   This Swahili term means "welcome to our place".   The purpose of our blog is to document our life here in Nairobi so that we can share it with our friends, family and neighbors from around the world.   Please always feel free to comment and write us back....we want to hear from all of you!

Our family moved to Nairobi Kenya in August 2013 in order to enrich our lives through an international, educational, and business adventure.   We are entrepreneurs and we were looking for the right opportunity to drive the adventure for some time.   eKitabu (e-book in Swahili) is that opportunity.   We are helping to lead the e-book digital revolution in Kenya and east Africa.

We knew that if we took our kids out of their comfort zone of Providence, RI, we would add a dimension to their lives that they will never forget.   Hopefully, they will look back at this time of our lives as an exceptional one, filled with new friends, new experiences and a whole lot of stories that they will take with them for the rest of their lives…..We know that we will…

  1. I love that you created this blog and I can't wait to read all about your adventures. What your family is doing is remarkable on so many levels, and I have no doubt that you will be such a positive influence in so many needy communities. Let us know how we can help from afar. We miss you! Cooper is now the age that Sam was when I started babysitting for you guys and that makes me think about your family often. So many good memories! :) Love from the Jungers!
